Alejandra Guzman Grateful For Addictions
People that have lived through drug and alcohol addiction usually regret having had that experience in their lives.
Alejandra Guzman sees it a different way.
In a new interview she gave to Aquí y Ahora, she said:
“I am grateful for having been an alcoholic and for being an addict because I see things that others don’t and feel things that others don’t.”
Sounds like a trippy statement but obviously she means that she sees life in a different light now.
Right? Right?!

basically, what she is saying is she learned from her past

I’m a little shocked that something profound and meaningful came out of her mouth. She’s right, I can vouch for that completely.

for us who have been in her shoes we know exactly what she is talking about and i too agree 100% with what she is saying. im proud to have been that route cause i saw things a sober person will never see and it is the destructive, darkness etc etc that drugs and alcohol will bring you

Well Said!! because you see things while drunk that I don’t see. 3 of each for example….

jajaja, Lala, that was funny.
Este comentario se me hace de lo mas tonto!!! Yo no creo que necesariamente tienes que pasar por estas cosas to be aware of things. I appreciate life, love life, and thank God for every minute of it! To hurt yourself and those around you with self-destructiveness is nothing to be proud of. I am glad she has recovered and that she is fine now, but I think she needs to choose her words wisely!

until you walk in her shoes or i should say our shoes you would not know what we are talking about. unfortunately in life we step into the dark world of alcohol and drugs without even thinking until its too late and youve lost everything. for some of us we awake and stay sober others will unfortunately die so i personally think “I appreciate life, love life, and thank God for every minute of it!” even more than you do just for the simple fact that i been there done that.

Carlos, I think it is very admirable to get up after you have fallen, but I still don’t agree with the comment.
She could have said she is greatful for cleaning up and survived the hell I am sure she, you, went through as you experienced that, for learing from it and having a new view and love for life, but not thankful for falling.
I don’t mean any disrespect and I hope you don’t take it as that.

I will have to agree with nenita. I don’t have to walk in anyone’s shoes in order to know alcohol and drugs can ruin not only my life but also those that care for me. I think it’s stronger to say no than to actually do it and regret it later. Don’t missunderstand me but I admire those who have done that. But I admire more those who have been tempted and have chosen not to. And of course, this is with all due respect to everyone.
